Elon Musk was born in South Africa, where he also grew up. His mother is known to be of Canadian ancestry and his father has origins in South Africa. Elon Musk’s father worked as an engineer which inspired Elon Musk to become an engineer, too. His mother was known to be a model and nutritionist.
When Elon Musk was 10 years old, he got his first computer and immediately started to teach himself various ways of programming. When he was only 12 years old, Elon Musk developed his first computer game “Blastar” which was sold for 500 dollars.
When he was 17 years old, Elon Musk decided to move to the United States, although neither of his parents supported him in doing so. Elon Musk chose to move to the United States because he believed that it was the country where everything was possible. In addition, he was thought to leave South Africa because he did not want to get enrolled into South African Army. Elon Musk admitted it by saying that serving in South African Army which suppressed its natives was somewhat ironic and not a great time to spend your young years.
However, in 1989, Elon Musk moved to Canada where his relatives from his mother’s side lived. Later he moved to the United States to study engineering which today is one of the most successful areas in which he excel and which accumulate Elon Musk net worth.
